Kannada’s Tarak Ponnappa forays into Telugu cinema

Actor Tarak Ponnappa is thrilled about the negative role he has signed up for in the upcoming Telugu film, CSI Sanatan, which sees him in a face-off with Adi Sai Kumar. Currently shooting for the same in Hyderabad, this will mark Tarak’s debut in Telugu cinema.
“I essay the role of a business tycoon called Vikram Chakrvarthy who is the sort who will do anything for monetary benefits.So much so that he also tries to cover up incidents that could harm his business or bring disrepute to him in anyway. However, one cover up leads to more complications that Vikram finds himself embroiled in too deeply,” explains the actor.
Since Tarak has already been part of a Telugu TV show, he tells us, “I learnt Telugu while I shot for that show as it also helped me interact with other cast and crew members better.” On the Kannada movie front, Tarak will be seen in a rather challenging role – that of a mentally challenged individual who is abolished in society – in the film Gilky.
