Kannada films on a record-breaking spree

Experimentation seems to be order of the day in Sandalwood, especially when it comes to movies being shot in record time. Director Chandrakala’s next film, the tentatively titled Aashiqui 3, will be shot in 20 days. The film, she says, is about a girl who elopes with a boy from Bangalore and goes to Kullu Manali with him — but upon her return to Bangalore, she comes back with a different boy.
“To save time, we will edit the film online and use live sound effects. We have also approached director Guru Prasad to essay a vital role in the movie and four top Sandalwood stars will also be part of our project,” says Chandrakala.
The director plans to release the movie within 10 days after wrapping up the shoot. The film will star TV actors Sandeep Kumar and Adarsh, but the heroine is yet to be finalized. The movie will go on the floors by the end of March.
