The lead cast of the upcoming Kannada film Mareyalaare, Thandav and Pavitra Belliappa, had a hill station retreat of sorts during the making of the film. 'A particular sequence in the film had to be shot in a church and there was a certain image that director Sharat Khadri had in mind. After location scouting in several cities across the country, he found just what he was searching for in Madhya Pradesh.
Sharat had found this quaint 150-year-old church ' the Christ Church ' in Pachmarhi, a hill station. Considering that the state's highest point is in Pachmarhi, getting there is not easy and the church itself is open only 3-4 months a year. Sharat shot the sequence featuring Thandav and Pavitra over five days,' says a source from the unit of the film.
