Young Kannada filmmaker Naveen, who was suffering from Coronavirus infection, has passed away. He was 36. Naveen had made his debut as a director with the 2011 film Oneday, which featured Appu Venkatesh & Revanna
According to reports, Naveen, who hails from Mandya, has been laid to rest in his hometown. The untimely death of Naveen has left his family members, friends and well-wishers in a state of shock. This is the third death in Sandalwood this year due to COVID-19, as cases continue to spike in Karnataka, despite lockdown restrictions.
In April, veteran Sandalwood poster designer and director Mastan breathed his last due to COVID-19. Actor and producer Dr DS Manjunath, of Chemistry of Cariappa fame, also passed away in April due to COVID-19.
