The demise of poet and writer Dr KS Nisar Ahmed came as a big shock to Kannadigas. The film industry, like everyone else, has savoured the works of the poet, especially Nityotsava that is often dubbed as the state anthem. He was a force in Kannada literature. His Kurigalu sir kurigalu refering to herd mentality of public became first title of our superhit sir comedy series. He was very cordial and warm to me whenever I met him in filmi functions. I will always remember him in suit and tie.
