Kannada film has Martin Scorsese inspiration

Actress Meghana Raj recently shot for her first special number in a film. This is for lyricist-writer Rohith Padaki's directorial film Dayavittu Gamanisi. The film has an ensemble cast that includes Rajesh Nataranga, Prakash Belawadi, Vasishta N Simha, Raghu Mukherjee, Samyukta Hornad, Sukrata Wagle, Sangeetha Bhat and Poornachandra Mysore. This special number has been rendered by Apoorva Sridhar, with lyrics by Arasu Anthare and tunes by Anoop Seelin.Quiz Rohith on choosing Meghana for this and he says, 'Meghana was a perfect fit as she is very expressive, elegant and I could easily try a changeover on her.' About the retro jazzy feel to the song, he says, 'I wanted to try a jazz song that will help carry forth the story along as well. There will be a crucial chapter running behind the song. I've tried to style this inspired by makers like Martin Scorsese,' adds Rohith.
