Veteran actress Leelavathi is suffering from age-related ailments and illness for a few days and is bedridden. Some of the Kannada actors visited the actress at her home to enquire about her health and spend some time with Leelavathi.

As per the reports, today veteran Kannada actors Srinath, Sundar Raj and his wife Pramila Joshai, Sasikala and Padma Vasanthi visited Leelavathi's house and enquired about her health. The actors reportedly, also spend some time reliving their golden memories with the actress. All the actors were in a jovial mood cracking jokes with Leelavathi. Leelavati also recognized and spoke to everyone.

Meanwhile, Leelavathi's son and actor Vinod Raj was also there in the house to receive everyone. Actress Leelavati is being treated at her farmhouse near Nelamangala on the doctor's advice.

Leelavati is a popular South Indian actress. Not only in Kannada but also in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, she has acted in a total of 600 films. He has given many movies to the Kannada cinema. The Karnataka government's highest award for lifetime achievement in the film industry. The Rajkumar Award was given to Leelavati in the year 1999-2000. In 2008, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from Tumkur University.

Leelavati entered Kannada cinema in 1949 playing the role of Sakhi in Shankar Singh's 'Nagakannika'. Leelavati, who was a theatre artiste in Subbiah Naidu's company, acted as Kayadu's friend. She joined the Mahalinga Bhagavatara Drama Institute and acted in several plays.

Last year, Leelavathi and her son Vinod Raj met the chief minister Basavaraj Bommai in August to request his presence to open the primary health centre built by Leelavathi and the CM honoured her wishes immediately by opening the health centre in September 2022.
