The Kannada film industry has often proved to be the platform for many newcomers for years. While a lot of actresses make this their learning ground as it were before they take on work in other film languages, occasionally, there has been the one off local talent that make the state proud.
uite on those lines is Kaavya Sha, daughter of Kannada actor and television director Nagendra Sha, who will make her big screen debut with
Paisa.
While it is a complicated role, “three parallel stories run through the film and my character links all three of them,” explains Kaavya, whose background in theatre as well as a bit of modelling promises to hold her in good stead. “The film features a host of newcomers. It’s a road trip, one that takes the cast across from Bangalore to Mangalore,” she says.
Incidentally, Kaavya had her share of the spotlight earlier last year when she won the India’s most talented girl title which was presented to her by Bollywood’s own
Shah Rukh Khan.
