film simultaneously, shuttling between Bengaluru and Chennai for the same, all in the midst of performing for several shows and working on launching her production house. She’s got another Tamil project lined up, which she will begin shooting for soon. And

couldn’t be happier to have her hands full. In between her hectic schedule, she spoke to us about the projects that have her excited. “I’m working on a not-yet-titled Kannada film directed by Shivatejas, which deals with the issues faced by the youth today. It’s about how social media and mobile phones have an impact on our lives. There are three couples in the movie, and I am one of the lead actors. At the same time, I am doing a film in Tamil, titled Jarugandi, in which I am paired with Jai of Raja Rani fame. I am the second lead in the film, but it is an important role as the story takes a turn after my character makes an entrance. I was supposed to begin shooting for another Tamil film — in which I am one of the lead actors — titled Aasai Nooruvagai, but due to the rains in Puducherry, the shooting has been deferred. It has worked to my advantage, actually, since I now have some breathing time,” says Kaavya. Parallelly, Kaavya has been working on launching her own production house. And her ambitions don’t stop there. “I am very interested in direction, and am looking forward to being a director someday. That is also something that I am working towards,” she says, signing off.
