Jaggesh stays away from the elections

It looks like comedian Jaggesh has decided not to contest in the impending state elections. The actor is a member of the BJP.
During the 2008 Assembly elections, Jaggesh contested as a Congress party member and won from Turuvekere (his home constituency) comfortably. However, he resigned as an MLA under Operation Lotus to join the BJP. Subsequently, he did not contest the by-election.
The discontent against Jaggesh is still prevalent in Turuvekere and it seems that this is one of the reasons that he has preferred to stay away from electoral politics. The actor has not been seen campaigning for any BJP candidates either.
According to sources close to Jaggesh, the actor is busy with his next big project, Agraja, in which he is sharing screen space with Challenging Star Darshan. It is also reported that Jaggesh has pinned his hopes on this project because none of his films have performed well at the box office in the last three years.
