J Karthik is a guitarist in his next film

J Karthik, better known as JK, who was last seen in Kannada cinema with Dayal Padmanabhan’s Puta 109, is back. The actor was busy finishing his commitments for his Hindi film Pushpa I Hate Tears, in which he is working with Krushna Abhishek and the Tamil movie Maaligai with Andrea Jeremiah and is now ready for Neere. “Directed by Sri Charan, the film, which is a love story, will see me play a guitarist.I had grown a beard for my earlier projects and was set to remove it, but then this film came around and it made sense to retain it for the role of a musician. I am paired with Samiksha in the film, which also stars Dilip Raj in a pivotal role. Shooting begins in the first week of November and will take us to locations across Malpe, Mangaluru, Chikmagalur and Bengaluru. As soon as I am done with Neere, I will take off the beard for my debut foray into the digital space,” says JK.
