Tamil film director
Kathir’s forté lies in creating love stories, more so, those that stay on with you for years to come. Think Idhayam, Kadhal Desam, Uzhavan, Kadhalar Dhinam or even Kadhal Virus. While the director has been out of action for about a decade since, he’s now making a comeback with Nan Love Track, which also marks his debut in
Sandalwood.
Debutant lead actor of the film Rakshith Gowda, who also pitches in as producer for this project, says, “It took us a year to convince Kathir to work on this film.
He was keen on making this film in Tamil. However, since I have been playing the lead in a popular TV show for the last few years, I feel I already have a good connect with the Kannada audience.” The film was shot in Bengaluru, Chennai and other parts of south India. “Kathir has a fascination for Bengaluru, so much so that most of his films have at least one scene shot on MG Road here. This time, however, we were in a bit of a fix while shooting on MG Road. Because of heavy rains at the time of shoot, we were not able to complete the portions on location. So Kathir then put up an entire set of Bengaluru’s MG Road in Chennai and we completed the shoot for the same there,” reveals Rakshith.
Whether the director will manage to capture the hearts of people just like the way he did with his other love stories, is what we need to watch out for with Nan Love Track.
