It took me 15 days to learn the chenda melam for my next: Rajesh Dhruva
Actor Rajesh Dhruva who recently took up learning to play the chenda melam, says it took him 15 days to master the traditional percussion instrument of Kerala.
Rajesh, who made his Kannada film debut with Shri Balaji Photo Studio, has now joined hands with director Sukesh Shetty for his next outing Peter, which revolves around the chenda melam.
Rajesh says, “For the film, we tried to integrate folk music seamlessly into the story, and create a fresh and engaging experience for the audience,” he says, and adds, “In today’s competitive film market, we need to captivate our audience and convince them why they should choose to watch our film.”
‘I've yet to establish myself firmly in the film industry’Despite his progress in movies, Rajesh says he will continue to act on television. “I don't have any limitations. At the end of the day, I need a stable income, which television provides. Once I've established myself firmly in the film industry, I can consider focusing on one medium.”
