According to reports, Rishab Shetty has finalized the script for 'Kantara 2,' which is actually a prequel to the original film rather than a sequel. The actor and director clarified that what audiences have seen so far is actually Part 2, with Part 1 slated for release next year. While shooting for 'Kantara,' Shetty was inspired to delve into the deeper history of the story, leading to the idea for the prequel.
Sources also say that the ‘Kantara’ team is currently engaged in extensive research to uncover more details and intricacies of the narrative. While specific information about the film remains under wraps, fans eagerly anticipate the forthcoming installment that promises to shed further light on the intriguing world of 'Kantara.'
Earlier the makers of ‘Kantara’ shared an update regarding the sequel by penning down a note on their official Twitter handle that read, “On this auspicious occasion of Ugadi & New Year, we are delighted to announce that the writing for the second part of #Kantara has begun.
