Is Daniel Balaji's directorial debut a bilingual?
Sandalwood actor Daniel Balaji, who had earlier told us that his dreams of becoming a filmmaker was almost coming true, has finally revealed the details of his directorial debut. The actor will be directing a Tamil film titled Kroni.
“It’s going to be a film that addresses some important beliefs in life,” says Daniel and adds, “I’m going to act in the film too.” On being asked if he intends to be like Kamal Haasan, in that he essays the roles of a screenplay writer, director and actor, he says, “No, Kamal Haasan is at a much higher level.

I decided on doing all the roles myself because I felt the effect of me executing my script would be better.” Elaborating about his role, he reveals, “My character is a positive one with negative shades.” About making his debut in Tamil, Daniel says, “Actually, my directorial is going to be a Tamil one simply because a friend of mine MR Ganesh, who has produced Tamil films such as Vaanamand Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, is producing the film. In fact, I wish to make this a Kannada-Tamil bilingual.” The film is likely to start rolling in March.
