Earlier today, Pruthvi Ambaar shared a beautiful picture from his visit to one of the film's more memorable locations - the Padukere Beach. Standing still and serene on a rock in front of the vast waters, Pruthvi included in his post that it was one of his favorite locations in 'Dia'. As many would recall, the same spot featured in the film in a few crucial junctures, and for obvious reasons, the memory of shooting there has remained permanently with Pruthvi Ambaar.
With an emotional love story at its core, 'Dia' is a heartwarming tale of a young girl and her trysts with life and death. Directed by K.N. Ashoka, who was making the film on the back of the success of '6-5 = 2', 'Dia' went on to be a celebrated film and features as one of the biggest successes of 2020. Thanks to its universal theme and a young central cast that also includes
Kushee Ravi and
Dheekshith Shetty, the film gained a cult status, so to speak, which warranted a Telugu and Hindi (in production) release soon after. The Kannada version of the film was also rereleased for a short while on this year's Valentine's Day.
