Imran Sardhariya is elated about B-town debut

One of Sandalwood's leading choreographers, Imran Sardhariya, is taking baby steps in

Bollywood

. Imran has, in fact, just returned from a 20-day schedule in Georgia, where he and his team shot for four songs of the upcoming film

Machine

, which stars Kiara Advani and marks the debut of

Mustafa

, the son of Abbas from the

Abbas-Mustan

director duo. 'As a

choreographer

with more than a decade experience behind me, I have been waiting for an opportunity like this, and am excited to be working on Machine. Directors Abbas-Mustan reached out to me based on what they had seen of my work in some

Kannada

films. Initially, they offered me four songs to work on, of which two are peppy dance numbers and the other two romantic songs. After seeing my work, they have now asked me to work on the fifth song as well,' says an elated Imran.
Shooting for this film, says the choreographer, has been a learning experience. 'When I got the offer to work on this film, I was given the entire script and not just a basic narration, to understand the story and the characters. That helped me immensely to plan the execution of the songs. I was also made to meet Mustafa, well before the shoot, so that I could figure out his strengths and highlight that. These days, most new talent comes into the industry after all the right training and Mustafa is no different. He is a trained actor and dancer and that made my job easy. That apart, every aspect of production is well-organized, and divided into many sub-categories, so that you have a contact person for anything that you may need during the shoot, be it a light, camera, or car, for that matter,' explains Imran.
