The actor is on board her third Kannada film and this time, it is a content-oriented film which sees her playing the sole lead. “So I’m the hero of the film and the story travels along with me. I couldn’t be happier,” shares the excited actor. Titled Cream (could also be interpreted as

) the film is being directed Abhishek Basant and the story has been penned by veteran writer Agni Sridhar.

“What cliched it for me was that this story sees me playing a role that you would never associate with me. If I tell you what I play, I’d be giving out the entire story. But what I’m allowed to share is that I’m playing my age, she’s extremely fierce because of the prevailing situations and life just happens to her. The beauty of her life is that she is a survivor. As for the title Cream, the actor says it means the top layer, something that is special. “It can also mean Kreem, the mantra related to

Kali

, the most fiercest form of the feminine avatar. I’m just so thrilled how the director has woven in the above two facts and added so many layers to my role,” she tells us. The actor meanwhile, when not shooting, enjoys time off with her parents which her fans continue to lap up. “My parents have a fan following of their own. They are the one who let me be who I am and not subscribe to the idea of who the world wants me to be. Cream is something like that. It’s a film of a girl who has grit, determination and is her own person….just like me,” sums up Samyuktha.
