I ate a lot of fish and visited local temples. I recently paid my respects to Koragajja at Kuthar, and being sensitive to energies, I could feel the power of the place. I’m certain it will benefit my work,” shares actor Vijay Kumar, who recently visited Mangaluru. The actor-director, working with his daughter Monica (now Rithnya, in her acting debut) in an upcoming film directed by Jadesh Kumar Hampi, reveals that the project needed a traditional setting. They found the ideal location at Guthu Mane in Pilikula. “I always love shooting in the coastal region for its serenity, greenery, water bodies, and the warmth of the people. The atmosphere influences you,” says Vijay. He adds, “I feel fortunate to be working with both my daughters. Monica, or Rithnya, is making her acting debut in this film, and as her father, I’m thrilled to act alongside her. I’m also excited to direct Monisha in City Lights.”
