I was cast just one day before the shoot of Kirik Party started: Aravind Iyer

Actor Aravind Iyer is clearly an excited man. For his upcoming role of Loki, a college-goer, in Rakshit Shetty's upcoming film

, he had a gala time shooting his parts in the fun-filled film. But the circumstances of landing the role weren't the most ideal. Speaking about it, he says, 'When I got to know from that the makers of the film had not yet finalized on an actor for the role of Loki, I approached the director, Rishab Shetty, who agreed to narrate the story. The only catch was that it was just a day to go before the start of the shoot, and they all were in Haasan. So, I drove down, listened to the script, liked it a lot and took it up, and that was just the easy part. I immediately had to drive down to Bengaluru, shop for my costumes and got back to

Haasan

in time for the next day for my shoot. It was nothing short of crazy, but I'm so grateful I got the part.'
The actor, who had been sporting a bearded hipster look, had to go clean shaven for the role. He says, 'After having sported a beard for over a year, I felt naked shaving it off
completely. But I'm very happy with the fact that I had to do it for such a fun, well-written role.'
