Talking about her role in Omelette, Samyukta says, “The film is about my character’s self discovery. It is the inward journey of a young IT professional, who is sure about and aggressively chasing her career, but is unsure about her relationships with everyone around her, including herself. The film is mostly drama, with some comic elements. I connect with the character in many ways, as I am a lost person myself, so I hope to find myself through my roles.”
As for her role in Hondisi Bareyiri, which has a big ensemble cast, Samyukta thinks that she is more herself than in most films. “I play someone who wants to make a difference; she cares for everyone around her, be it the environment, elderly or children. I am someone who feels empathy towards such causes, so it clicked with me. And I have a nice support system to be myself in this film too,” she adds.
