I have heard how grief feels, but this is very new to me: Sudeep

Kannada star Sudeep, who lost his mother Saroja last year, recently opened up about experiencing grief for the first time.At a recent event, the actor said, “I have heard how grief feels, but this is very new to me. It is hard for me to come downstairs at home and see an empty chair — the chair my mother always sat on.”Sudeep added that even moments like opening the photo gallery on his phone make him emotional. “I look back at photos from a year ago and recall the times I have spent with my mother, and I get very emotional. It is something that happens unintentionally and is beyond my control. What’s harder, though, is seeing my father — who was married to my mother for over 50 years — go through this grief. It has been extremely difficult,” he said. Sudeep’s mother, Saroja, passed away due to age-related ailments on October 20, 2024.
