We had reported on Monday that the channel that airs

Kinnari

has decided to replace Kiran Raj, since they found impediments through his date issues and court cases (the actor’s love life made headlines recently following a fight with his supposed girlfriend Yasmin Pathan). While the channel maintains its’ stance, Kiran explains that it was he who had decided to walk out of the TV series.

, Kinnari and movies for the past six months. So much so that I spent alternate days in Mumbai and Bengaluru. I recently signed another Hindi series and have three movies in my kitty — two Kannada and one Hindi. So, dates were becoming an issue. Also, I wasn’t happy with the payment I was getting for Kinnari. Keeping all this in mind, I decided to call it quits with Kinnari. I had sent the channel a mail regarding this last month itself. I asked them to find a replacement for me, but continued to shoot all of last month, because you can’t suddenly kill off a character.”
