As rumours were doing rounds about senior actor, director and producer Dwarakish death, he has rubbished the reports of his death.
In a video, Dwarakish says "With all your blessings, there is no need to worry, I am doing absolutely fine. I am hale and hearty."

Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce felicitated Dwarakish who celebrated his 80th birthday on August 19 last year by felicitating him Prominent personalities of Sandalwood attended the function.
He has also received honorary doctorate for his contribution towards Kannada cinema.
After receiving the honour, Dwarakish recalling his journey had said, "My uncle
Hunsur Krishnamurthy introduced me to the Kannada film industry through Veera Sankalpa that was made in 1960. I made my debut as a producer with Mamatheya Bandhana in 1965. I made this movie with Rs 40,000. Those days, the airfare between Bengaluru and Madras was Rs 43. Those days I used to spend only Rs 29 to fill up the fuel tank of my car.’’
