Hubli Dhaba offers an edge-of-the-seat thriller experience, says Srinivas Raju

Director Srinivas Raju of Dandupalya trilogy fame is back, this time with a bilingual murder mystery. Titled Hubli Dhaba in Kannada and Thaggedele in Telugu, the film has actors from both Sandalwood and Tollywood. Naveen Chandra, who is a known face in Telugu, will be making his Kannada debut.

Asked how the film was conceived, Srinivas Raju said, “Murder mysteries involving forensics became very common during the COVID-19 pandemic and I wanted to explore something different with it. That was when this story was born. Usually, a murder mystery has a lot of characters and suspects, but my film runs on two suspects and an interesting narrative.”
His last film, Dandupalya, was a hit in both Kannada and Telugu. Srinivas Raju has summoned the team back in this film. “It’s almost 10 years since the last Dandupalya franchise was released and I thought the best way to bring it back was to have them all be a part of the cameo and it fit beautifully,” he says.
“People should watch this film for pure entertainment and to go on an edge-of-the-seat ride,” he signs off.
