‘HORROR FILMS HAVE A WAY OF GRIPPING AUDIENCES’
Horror films keep audiences on the edge of their seats. I have always wondered what it would be like to act in one. Horror films that I have enjoyed of late include Shh! and Truth or Dare. Such films resonate with me for their ability to create suspense and evoke fear in the viewer.
‘HORROR DEMANDS A DIFFERENT KIND OF VULNERABILITY’
In horror films, often, you are acting with a green screen and reacting to what isn’t there; so, your expressions and body language must be bang on. This can be daunting since you are relying solely on your imagination. To prepare, I have been watching horror films and learning from other actors’ approaches.
‘I am drawn to fresh narratives’
In my upcoming film I portray a stylish Anglo-Indian woman named Madonna who has a surprising and playful side. The character undergoes a dramatic transformation in the film’s second half. The script’s fresh narrative immediately captivated me, and I’m eager to collaborate with the creative team when filming commences in March.
