One of the most loved actors in
Sandalwood is veteran performer
Anant Nag. The actor is known for his varied and entertaining roles even now. He had taken a self imposed sabbatical during the pandemic since he wanted to be vaccinated and safe. He has since resumed work and completed shooting for
Drishya 2
, which co stars V Ravichandran. He is now set to resume working on
Gaalipata 2
.
On his return to work,
Anant says, "My doctors have advised me that I can resume work and I have taken both the doses of the vaccine. I have been at home for 15 months. I have told the team that I will be there provided everyone on the set is vaccinated and we have the precautions in place. I have new offers and some pending commitments too. I have missed being at work. I like it best when I am not myself but am someone else on the set."
He is thrilled to be a part of P Vasu's Drishya 2. Anant reveals, "When the team of Drishya 2 approached me for this character who is completely new, I liked it. The story reminded me of the books I have enjoyed reading like
Anton Chekhov
and
Fyodor Dostoevsky
. The story has been left open ended at the end of each part and there are no songs or fights either.
