Hemanth Rao reveals glimpses from the short film backed by him

After helming Kavaludaari,

Hemanth Rao

has now trained his sights on mentoring young talent by supporting short films. Revealing the first look of the

short film

he’s backed — the working title of which is Kagga — an upbeat Hemanth tells us that it is a series of stories that are all connected to one road accident.

“After

Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu

, Humble Politiciann Nograj and Bheemasena Nala Maharaja, this is my fourth venture of backing films, and I’ve gone solo with it. I plan to nurture and promote many promising talents this year and make more short films,” he adds. This project, like all of Hemanth’s films, will be realistic. The team has already begun shooting for it, with the first location being at a butcher shop. The short film is directed by Manu Anuram. “The movie has many promising talents including Vamsidhar Bhogaraju, Harshil

Koushik

and Nidhi Hegde,” says the filmmaker.
Meanwhile, Kavaludaari is being remade in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, and Hemanth couldn’t be happier. “Bollywood is calling too. So, let’s see what is in store for me,” he signs off.
