‘HEBBULI’ PRODUCERS IN PROFIT

“We (producers) will be in profit. But now the distributors have to make money. They have paid fancy rates believing in the product. They should also make money. I am not here just for one film. We have to think of our future projects also. We have announced a film with Darshan. It is the distributors who will give us the money to invest in it. We have to retain their trust. My motto has always been to do business with ethics,” Umapathy said.
Distributors and exhibitors are expecting the film to take a huge opening. So the demand for the film from exhibitors is seeing it release in over 350 screens in Karnataka. “On technical terms, if we count the screens in multiplexes the film is releasing in, the number will reach 400. It is a sense of fulfilment when you see theatre owners demanding the film to be screened in their theatres,” says Umapathy.
Umapathy has tied up with PVR to release the film across India. “The film will release in around 30 centres across India including in Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi,” he said. However the film will release overseas a week after its release here. “There is a problem with piracy. We need to tackle that too. We had earlier planned a simultaneous release. But now the overseas release will happen after a week of release here. The final number of screens the film will be released in in India and foreign countries will be easily 600,” he said.
