Have we been getting the title of Sankashta Kara Ganapathi wrong?

For the last couple of weeks, we have been receiving mails and letters, asking if there is a typo when we carry the title of this week’s release

. Readers have been pointing out to us that it should be Sankashta Hara

(remover of all obstacles, as lord Ganesha is referred to), and not Kara. “It is an odd title and a lot of people keep asking us about it. We didn’t have a title while we were developing the script and we figured that it would eventually come to us. The hero (Likith Shetty) gets caught in a lot of trouble in the film (kashta) and all this comes from his hand (kara is another word for kai — hand). And Likith’s character’s name is Ganapathi, so it all fit together — Sankashta (trouble) Kara (hand) Ganapathi (hero’s name),” explains director Arjun Kumar S.
