Has Sudeep beaten Yash's box office record?

If the trade reports are to believed, Sudeep's Ranna has become the new top grosser of all times at the Sandalwood box office, beating Rocking Star Yash's Mr and Mrs Ramachari.
If the latest reports are to be believed, Ranna has managed to gross Rs 10 crore in its initial weekend collections, a feat that is big for Sandalwood films. Mr and Mrs Ramachari had managed to reach that figure only much later into the first week, say the trade experts.
While Ranna has benefitted with the additional day, since it released on Thursday, the collections are a healthy sign for the Kannada industry, say trade experts, for the industry has been in need for a few big hits, after some of the bigger films didn't manage to clock in the desired monies earlier this year.
With this film managing to create a new record and reach the exclusive 10-crore club earlier than others, Sudeep has consolidated his position as a big-ticket-release-actor again, for he has been giving consecutive hits for the past few years, something that his other peers have been struggling to get.
