When I take on a role, I get into the skin of the character. Since I’m a director myself, I don’t let my focus divert. It’s something I learnt over the years, especially since I’ve been trained in theatre.
'Content consumption has changed'
Now there is OTT, films, television and an influx of social media, which co-exist, so the pattern of content consumption has changed post COVID. This has opened up a plethora of opportunities for experienced artistes as well as newcomers, which is a good thing.
'Multistarrers bring audiences together'
If a movie has more than one big name, fans of the actors will come together for the movie, bringing in revenue. From an artistic point of view, it helps in learning and exchanging knowledge, which is also a good thing.
‘My upcoming roles help showcase my acting range’
In my upcoming film, Madanika, I embark on a road trip with three friends, using various tricks to woo Ragini Dwivedi’s character, in First Night with Deva, I play a CEO of a company, and in Pretha I don the doctor’s coat. These roles will showcase my range as an actor.
