Srinivas was an RJ who later turned director with Upendra-starrer Topiwala. Now, taking his film journey to the next level, he will be making his debut as actor with the movie that was flagged on two years ago. The movie is set to hit the screens next month. 'I always wanted to be an actor, so I started doing short films. Uppi, who saw my short films, gave me a chance to direct him in

and I became a director. The movie did not do well at the box office. The failure of the movie left me saddened. It took me six months to get over it. Then I worked on some scripts and finalised Srinivasa Kalyana,' the actor-director said.

In Srinivasa Kalyana, the lead character experiences six different passions from his multiple romantic relation ships and finally attains moksha. Besides Srinivas, the movie also features Nikhila Rao, Kavitha, Sujay, Achyuth Rao, Dattanna, Pallavi Somaiah and Vidya Venkatram.
