First look: Richa Chadda as Shakeela

We had reported that director Indrajit Lankesh has roped in Bollywood actor Richa Chadda to play the titular role of Shakeela in the Shakeela Biopic. The film will delve into the life of superstar Shakeela, who ruled the Southern film industry for over two decades.
Richa has has begun shooting for the film in Thirthahalli, and here were have the first look of Richa as Shakeela, dressed in the traditional Kerala kasavu pattu.
When asked about the look, Richa said, "The film traces the journey of Shakeela's younger days to her becoming a popular figure. Thus, the looks span over years, and with each passing phase, her look changes. To show that is challenging, but also for me, as an actor, its gratifying that I get to grow with the real character on celluloid. Shakeela is still a legend and we hope to do complete justice to her when the film is ready."
