A week after producer M N Kumar made allegations against Kannada actor Sudeep, another producer H A Rehman who has produced over 20 films in Sandalwood including superhit films like Yajamana and Huccha which gave a major break to Sudeep during the initial stages of his career has demanded money from sudeep
Speaking to a regional media, he has alleged, “I am not complaining against Sudeep who the star actor in Sandalwood. The only thing is the way he conducted is wrong. Post the success of Huccha movie, I invested about 30 lakh in buying the remake rights of Hindi films to do it in Kannada by having Sudeep in the lead role, based on his suggestions, but it did not become reality because of several reasons and Rs 5 lakh was paid as advance for a movie, out of which I got only 1.80 lakh. I asked to return the same money which I did not get back. I request him to return the money as I am in financial crisis now.”
He further claimed that he tried to reach out to Sudeep through phone calls, but he did not respond.
In the notice which Sudeep has served to producers M N Kumar and Suresh he has demanded an unconditional apology along with a fine of`10 crores for making defamatory remarks against him.
