Feel-good films have a timeless appeal: Rachana Inder

Feel-good films have an enduring charm — that’s what I’ve always loved about them, says actress Rachana Inder. “I’ve always been a huge fan of such films that resonate with everyone.” And that, she tells us is what drew her to her next project, Theertharoopa Tandeyavarige, a Kannada film where she will play the female lead. The film, directed by Ramenahalli Jagannatha, sees her sharing screen space with actor Nihar Mukesh.
Rachana says, “We often see stories about sons fulfilling their fathers’ wishes, but in this film, I embark on that journey. However, destiny has other plans. Nature also plays a key role, beautifully captured on screen.” Having completed her studies, the actor is now fully dedicated to films. “I was impressed by director Ramenahalli Jagannatha’s attention to detail in Hondisi Bareyiri,” she says. “Collaborating with a creative team that pushes boundaries helps us grow as actors. I’m also glad that scripts are offering equal representation for female artists, allowing me to experiment with diverse characters in my upcoming films, Naanu Mathu Gunda 2 and Fire Fly.”
