Families bonding at the Udaya Awards!

It was somewhat of a family gathering at the recent Udaya Awards function. When mother-daughter duo of Jayamala and Soundarya Jayamala were announced among the awards, it was just the first of the night’s all-in-the-family recognition. While the mother Dr. Jayamala was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to Kannada cinema, her offspring Soundarya was feted with the award for the Best Debutante Actress for her role in Godfather.The second family moment of the night was when cameraman H C Venu and wife Tara received their awards. While Venu got the Best Cinematographer Award, for his expert camerawork in Kataariveera Surasundarangi, his spouse actress Tara received the Best Supporting Actress for her role in Bhageerathi.
