Happy that the film is finally hitting screens, Yogi is also anxious to see how audiences react to his onscreen avatar, as the role is a marked departure from some of his previous work. “This is one of the first films that I signed up for after I decided to pay more attention to the films I am a part of. In my years in the industry, I have done quite a few films, many of which not only typecast me, but also did not work at the box office. I realised that I needed to break this loop and hope that my attempt in Yogi Duniya will be appreciated,” says the actor, adding, "I play a middle-class guy, who does not have a particular goal in life. The film, adds Yogi, is set in Majestic. “Everyone has seen and felt what Majestic is like during peak hours, but what happens later in the night? We have attempted to explore that world by night as realistically as possible. Betting is one big element and that forms the base of Yogi Duniya,” says Yogi.

is another highlight, adds the actor. “The songs and background score not only set the right tone for the film, but also elevate it to another level. Bharath has done a fantastic job,” he says.

Yogi Duniya was awarded an A certificate by the Censor Board, which should not be a deterrent for family audiences. Since the subject revolves around betting in Majestic, there are extensive scenes of people smoking and drinking, which is why the film got an A certificate. It is, otherwise, a story that will appeal to all audiences and we hope that they watch Yogi Duniya to realise the perils of indulging in betting.
