Exclusive: Sushant Pujari waltzes his way into Sandalwood as an actor

Bollywood choreographer-turned-actor Sushant Pujari is keen to make an impression as an actor in his Sandalwood debut with Chase, which hits the screens in July. The movie is directed by Vilok Shetty.
Sushant, who hails from Udupi, says, “I was a huge fan of Kannada films even before KGF became popular. It was always my desire to work in Sandalwood as the people are so warm and welcoming.This desire has been fulfilled with Chase.”
Revealing details about his character, Sushanth shares, “I play Radhika’s husband. I live in the moment and don’t care about anything. My character brings a twist to the tale and will remain etched in the minds of audiences. I can only utter a few sentences in Kannada, but somehow, I was able to shoot it. I have also featured in a peppy song, Sha La La Love, sung by Benny Dayal and Karthik Aacharya, which was shot in Mangaluru’s pristine locales. It is a visual extravaganza and I have choreographed that song as well.”

On working with Radhika Narayan, Sushant shares, “She is a fabulous actor, a very sweet and easy-going girl who is very comfortable to work with. She is a fantastic dancer; I choreographed Sha La La on the spot and she was up to the task, showing her calibre as a dancer.
Sushant, who seems to have taken acting seriously, has also signed up for The Rage of Arjun, a pan-Indian film made in multiple languages, directed by Kishore Boyzone. “I began my career as a dancer and choreographer. As my career progressed, I found that acting was a new opportunity, and I could pull off acting by balancing choreography. Acting teaches you many things about life and has added more beauty to my life as I get to meet different people. I thoroughly enjoy this.”
