Exclusive: Sonal Monteiro is Vinod Prabhakar’s leading lady in Maadeva

We had reported earlier about Vinod Prabhakar’s next, Maadeva. Now, we have news that Sonal Monteiro, who was paired with Vinod in the hit Roberrt, has been roped in for this film that is directed by Naveen Reddy. The shoot of the film is currently on in Hyderabad.


Naveen says, “Sonal plays a village girl, Parvathi, and will be seen in the traditional langa davani. She plays a strong woman who has faced many adversities in her life. It is a performance-driven role. People liked seeing Vinod and Sonal together in Roberrt, so we thought their chemistry would work well on screen again. The subject is tailor made for them.”

The movie is set in different time periods - 1965, 1980 and 1999. It will also be shot in Dharwad and Shivamogga.
