Exclusive: Krishna and Milana Nagaraj play a modern couple in PC Shekar's next

Guess who’s signed up for Love Birds as Darling Krishna’s leading lady? His wife, Milana Nagaraj. We had first reported that PC Shekar was all set to direct Krishna in Love Birds that is backed by Kaddipudi Chandru. With the lead pair in place, the film is slated to go on floors from next week and the team is already creating various sets.
Milana says, “Krishna and I wanted to keep our combination exclusive and wanted to write a script where we would act together once again.But he is busy with multiple films, so that plan has been getting delayed. When I heard this script, I could connect with it. While Love Mocktail was all about romance, this film will be new for us as actors. I also get to work with PC Shekar sir, who is so good with his work. With Krishna at home, all we need to do is prepare for our scenes and just show up on set."
Shekar is also thrilled that he managed to get the pair. "This film deals with a modern married couple, with their small squabbles and bickering. Over the past decade or two, the dynamics of marriage have changed, with women no longer being dependent on men. They are financially free, which changes the power game. This film will deal with all this and more," he reveals, saying that Milana was their natural choice since the film is about a married couple.

The film will be a musical love story, with Arjun Janya teaming up with Shekar for the ninth time. “There will be high expectations, given that the Love Mocktail series too was a musical hit. Arjun and I have been working on this and are excited to showcase some fresh, soulful romantic tunes, which will be more situational rather than just song insertions between scenes,” says Shekar.
