Exclusive: ‘I dedicate this award to the late Sanchari Vijay and the team’

“I expected this award for Sanchari Vijay's acting. Nevertheless, we won a National Award which is a proud moment for me because it is my debut film,” says Praveen Krupakar, director of Taledanda.

Taledanda, about a mentally challenged person, striving to protect the forest, took home the award in the environmental conservation category. Apart from the late Sanchari Vijay, the film also stars Chaitra J Achar.
“I dedicate this award to Sanchari Vijay because he put his heart and soul into this movie and to the Taledanda team, which worked with great zeal. Credit should also go to my wife who took the risk of producing the film.
