Petromax, which is releasing today in cinema halls, has
Sathish Ninasam,
Hariprriya,
Karunya Ram,
Nagabhushana and
Arun Kumar in lead roles. The project, directed by Vijayaprasad, has been made under the Satish Picture House and Studio18 banners.
Producer Sudhir KM says, “The journey of Petromax started during the first lockdown. Sathish Ninasam and Vijayprasad had a story when they approached me. I was blown away by the content and narration style.
As soon as permission was given to commence shooting, we immediately headed to Mysuru and completed the shoot without any hiccups. When the final product was ready, I was thrilled to have made a good family entertainer."
Talking about the star cast of the film,
Sudhir shares, “What makes Petromax interesting are the hilarious conversations. There are loads of witty dialogues that will tickle the funny bone. Petromax revolves around four orphans who set out to find an independent house. A character portrayed by
Vijayalakshmi Singh is an X-factor in the movie. ”
He adds that Petromax doesn’t solely rely on comic elements. “There are a lot of emotional scenes and a deep insight into each character. At the outset, it might look like Petromax has a lot of double entenders, which is not the focal point of the film. There are a lot of emotional scenes that will leave everyone misty eyed. There are some societal issues that we have touched upon, which have been narrated in trademark Vijayaprasad style. Overall, Petromax is a family entertainer,” he signs off.
