Raj B Shetty

is away touring the US until the first week of May, and the actor-filmmaker is clearly enjoying his time there. “I love trying anything new - whether on home ground or foreign shores. Be it sitting at a roadside tea stall or sitting under a waterfall - I make sure that I immerse myself fully into the experience. Here, too, I’m doing the same,” shares Raj.

The actor, who’s been in the US for over a week now, has been spending time in national parks and going into the wild to experience life away from the humdrum of the city. “I like peace and calm. So, my friends here took me to Yosemite

National Park

. We hiked through it and even though the water was freezing, I jumped into a stream and came out utterly refreshed. I hugged trees and sat staring at a waterfall for hours. The trees were so enchanting that I even meditated under them. We walked around the park singing retro

songs and I loved the experience,” shares Raj.

Having experienced snowfall, his gang of buddies also indulged in snowball pelting and Raj confesses he thoroughly enjoyed this childlike pleasure. “Nature is empowering. And I’ve been spending a lot of time in it even here,” he says.

The actor has also been visiting and spending time with Kannada sanghas across the US, including in

Seattle

and

San Francisco

. “They have been having Ugadi celebrations and I was invited to be part of it. It’s nice to see them being so connected to their roots despite being half way across the world,” Raj sums up.
