The much-anticipated sequel to Gaalipata, releasing in August, has a big ensemble cast, featuring many known faces from Sandalwood and beyond. The Yogaraj Bhat directorial also has
Nishvika Naidu in a pivotal cameo.
Nishvika says, "I was very intrigued and thrilled at being a part of the Gaalipata brand. It felt right for me to accept the role, even though it was a cameo, as I get to be a part of this franchise. I play a very important role that adds to the journey of
Ganesh sir's character before the climax, but I cannot reveal what exactly it is."
About working with Ganesh for the second time, Nishvika adds, "I had signed Gaalipata 2 much before I was approached for Sakkath. But I shot for Gaalipata 2 after I had shot for Sakkath. It helped me as I already had a rapport with Ganesh sir and I am very fond of working with him. This rapport helped me as I needed that familiarity for this particular character."
For Nishvika, it was a special first day of shoot on Gaalipata 2. "I was really scared and nervous on my first day. I wanted to get my work right as Yogaraj Bhat sir is a star director who is on everyone’s wishlist. While he does seem like he has a strong personality, he is actually very sweet and put me at ease after the very first shot I gave. He complimented me and said I took to his character so easily and ensured I lost my nervousness thereafter. An added bonus is that Yogaraj Bhat sir knows what he wants, so that it makes it easier for the actor," she explains.
This also marks her second project with the makers after Paddehuli. "Ramesh Reddy sir is an amazing producer. He was insistent on me doing this film. I felt happy with his trust in my talent," she signs off.
