Exclusive! Director Jayatheertha: 'Bell Bottom 2' will start shooting next year

‘Bell Bottom’ is a super hit movie in the Kannada film industry starring Rishab Shetty and Haripriya in lead roles. This movie introduced Rishab Shetty as the lead hero, where he played a detective. This movie was directed by Jayatheertha, and it is now getting a sequel. Writer TK Dayanand, director Jayatheertha and producer Santosh Kumar are reuniting for part 2 and in an exclusive interview with ETimes, director Jayatheertha revealed the news.
The filmmaker said, “Rishab Shetty is a really good actor and I really like to work with him. The script writing of ‘Bell Bottom 2’ has already begun and we have completed three rounds of discussions. By September, we will lock and finalise the script, and the screenplay has also been completed. The dialogues are still pending. After the dialogues are done, the final round of screenplay will take place and the shooting of the film will begin next year.”
“I used to meet him very often. I liked his mannerism and asked him if he would play the lead role in the movie? Then ‘Bell Bottom’ happened, and now we are getting ready for the sequel. I am happy to reunite and work with him again. Rishab Shetty has a quality to set the screens on fire with his acting and his body language; the way he speaks is unique,” he added.
‘Bell Bottom’ completed 100 days in theatres, which was produced under the Golden Horse Cinema banner by Santhosh Kumar. The movie brought to screen, the life during the 80’s. This is the story of a detective who investigates various aspects of a crime. B Ajaneesh Loknath composed the music for the movie, and he is likely to compose music for ‘Bell Bottom 2’ as well.
