Ramesh Aravind

Veteran actor Ramesh Aravind has had a vibrant and multi-faceted career at the movies but the roots of it all grew back at the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering where he first met his future collaborator Kamal Haasan. The story goes the Ramesh Aravind, a mech. engineering student at UVCE, worked as an emcee at award functions and was able to meet Haasan during the success event for the latter's film 'Sagara Sangamam' (in 1983). What followed was a modest career in television and films before K. Balachander cast him in the role of a "playboy" in the Kannada film 'Sundara Swapnagalu' in 1986. Thus began Ramesh Aravind's illustrious career as he went to become one of the most sought-after actors in the Kannada Film Industry during the following decade.

Sudeep

The "Badshah" of Sandalwood has a bachelor's in Industrial and Production Engineering to his name, with the popular Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering as his alma mater.
