Double dhamaka for Srinagara Kitty

Srinagara Kitty might not have had any releases in 2013 yet, except for a cameo in Simplag Ond Love Story. But the second half of the year looks promising. His next, Tony opposite Aindrita Ray, is up for release in June, and he’s got about a month’s work left on Paru W/o Devdas with Soundarya Jayamala. That apart, Kitty has signed two films that will be launched on his birthday in July. The first one will be with director Sunil Kumar (of Simplag Ond Love Story fame), and the other with photographer-turned-director Praveen Nayak. “Sunil’s film isBahuparaak, and the one with Praveen is Shankara, Ivathin Love Story. These two films have very different stories and will see me in new avatars,” says Kitty. The actor, however, wants to complete Paru W/o Devdas before he starts work on these new films. “Shankara requires two looks and the film is about love in today’s times. My character hails from a rural background and gets a culture shock when he encounters new-age love. This forms the crux of the story. Bahuparaak, meanwhile, is a story that tracks a man’s life from childhood to old age. It will be different from Sunil’s debut film,” says the actor.
