Director Shashank to launch Praveen with a love story

Kannada filmmaker Shashank has announced his next directorial, a romantic tale called

Love 360

. The film, which is being made as a Kannada-Telugu bilingual, will introduce Praveen, who is a medical student, to Kannada audiences.

Shashank says, “It’s a pure romance, in which the hero not only goes to great lengths to find love, but also loves unconditionally, which is hard to find in today’s generation. The heroine’s character holds great significance in the narrative and is a performance-driven role, for which we are scouting for a fairly new face with a bit of experience in acting, either on the small screen or even cinema. The story is set in a small town. We plan to shoot from September. Although Praveen is a medical student, he has been training in acting for over two years. As for the title, Love 360, it has been inspired by cricketer AB de Villiers.”

Meanwhile, Shashank adds that his proposed collaboration with Upendra has been pushed further. “The film was supposed to take off in April, but had to be postponed because of the pandemic. This is a subject that requires a lot of people on set, both cast and crew, so we are looking at starting it only by the end of the year or maybe even next, so that we can work with a team that is fully vaccinated against
