Diljit Dosanjh’s birthday: Rishab Shetty wishes the Punjabi singer on his 42 birthday

Global icon Diljit Dosanjh gave voice to one of the songs from the 2025 blockbuster, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. On his 42nd birthday, the actor and director Rishab Shetty shared a poster of the singer, wishing him on his special day.Sharing a poster of Diljit Dosanjh, he wrote, “Wishing you a very happy birthday @diljitdosanjh paaji!" The Punjabi singer sang the Hindi version of the ‘Rebel’ song for the film, which is the prequel to the original 2022 Kannada film ‘Kantara’. Diljit Dosanjh once shared a video and praised Rishab Shetty with deep emotion. He wrote, “With Big Brother @rishabshettyofficial Salute to This Guy Man.. Who made The Masterpiece “KANTARA".” He also shared how the song ‘Varaha Roopam’ made him emotional in the theatre.Rishab Shetty had a hugely successful year with the release of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. Recently, on New Year's Day, Rishab Shetty shared a montage of videos and pictures of the moments he witnessed in 2025. In the caption, he wrote, “Grateful for all the moments and people that made 2025 special. 2026, let’s make it even better. ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೊಸ ವರ್ಷದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು.” On the work front, Rishab Shetty will be working with ‘HanuMan’ director Prasanth Varma on its sequel, ‘Jai Hanuman’. In the film, he will be seen playing the lead of Lord Hanuman. Additionally, he is also working with filmmaker Sandeep Singh in the upcoming movie, ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’, where Shetty will portray the legendary warrior king, with a global release slated for January 21, 2027. Diljit Dosanjh will next be seen in ‘Border 2’. The film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and many others. The movie will release in theatres on January 23. On his birthday, Diljit also surprised fans by announcing a global song with Colombian star J. Balvin. He shared a glimpse of the song “Senorita” and wrote, “Birthday Surprise with The Pride of Colombia Big Brother @jbalvin X 2026.”
